ELM SIDEBOARD
This was dimensioned (a) to fit a particular space, (b) to accomodate particular pieces of hi-fi equipment and (c) to have a required overall height. Iy was also required to sit alongside other burr=elm topped pieces I had made for these same customers previously. It thus well exemplifies the situation of designing a piece to meet customers’ functional and dimensional specification.
