TABLES
Oak refectpry table. Massive! Over 10ft long and over 3ft wide. My biggest table ever and a eal challenge e.g. straight-edging the constiuent planks of the top, shifting components around (at my time of life). Built with timber from the customer’s own tree milled and died by Jonathan Robinson (q.v. in my blogroll). ALthough fully demountable, “flat-pack” if you like, it still took some effort to move
giving a sense of scale
the stump of the tree that donated the table and, in a sense ,will continue its life, hopefully, for a few more centuries. It is located just across the drive from the lawn in the next photo. That close.
